These were Bermuda Jorts and were not cute.
Since the legs would
not fold over onto each other very evenly, I cut the legs one at a time.
I put them through
the washer and dryer so the bottoms would fray.
Picked out scrap fabric with a cute pattern
and flipped over to trace the outline of the pocket
|
When I cut, I left about 1cm around the pocket outline |
|
I folded over and ironed down the 1cm of excess fabric
Instead of pinning, I added a few dabs of adhesive and
pressed pocket down. I avoid pins at all costs- I'm not careful with them and
they hurt!
I stitched the fabric down with pretty mint-colored thread.
It was a pain in the ass to get the needle through the top corners of pockets,
the seam in the jeans is thicker there, I used that tool to pull the needle
through when the goin' got tough.
TA-DA! I might do the other pocket later. I'm bored of this
for now.
